I don't own one myself, but I was told it connects you to a hub of other tomestone havers. We don't use them as our main channel of communication, however.

The extra stuff that communications devices do are more recent, but… it sounds kinda handy to just have an earpiece that works like that. It can be used over long distances?

They're quite convenient for standard missions and espionage. The linkpearl's shortcoming is its numbered linkshells. A linkshell can hold as many as a hundred and twenty-eight persons, but you're limited to eight of them per linkpearl.

So if to say I would like to contact my second in command only, then it would use one linkshell out of eight.

So, if you had a channel for personal contacts, work, general chatter, jokes, that’d be four used up and then your personal buddy channel with your second would be a whole extra fifth channel.

Yeah. Not quite like the ones we got here, but the functions are basically the same. This one isn’t quite as versatile though.

What a innovative device this ARCUS is. It should come to no surprise that we have nothing like that on my star, at least that I am aware of. The only article liken to this I can recall is the Soulstone.

'Tis not ominous as you think. The stone doesn't house a soul, but instead memories of its previous owner, thus their prowess becomes yours. Many Soulstones are ones that are passed down generations, though some are newly crafted.

Mine was one of the Paladin, bequeathed to me by my late father, likewise from his father to him and so on.
