It'd be nice if it did. There has to be something in each colour that can help like that, right? Or maybe I'm wishing a little too hard there.

Yet, it happens. The loss. Not to dismiss it or sound cold but... it's not as though any of these gumballs offer us the chance to go back in time and change how everything turned out.
In different ways. Mistress Su Jiuqing had the orange gumball that could stabilize color, so I imagine others, too. Ser Yamatonokami also mentioned his orange gumball was protective in nature. Some... Some come with a price.
[ But the vibe is that he won't be speaking details of what "price" could mean. For now, he listens. ]
Or any of this gumballs open a path of return, either.
… Mm. Religion doesn’t run the state in Erebonia, but the Septian Church is prominent. I heard it’s actually a fairly new religion, but it was before I was born — some places still practice animism, which was the main kind of worship before the church.
But it provides for towns and cities, and in smaller areas it’s the main source of education for kids up until they’re old enough to go to one of the bigger secondary schools for specialised learning. Like Thors, or St Astraia’s.
As long as a church's power is regulated, I do think they're capable of doing good, much like any group. Full glad am I to hear that they provide for the communities in your star.
The people in mine... They're slowly relearning their faith. [ But! is it time for jokes. ] Would it be surprising to say I was no altar boy?
Pretty sure the church has its own military, so maybe the regulate themselves. That being said, I’ve never seen the church do more than work to keep threats under control with the knowledge they have. Couple of people I know work as or inherited Dominion titles in the church, and I trust them well enough.

Aw, you didn’t wear robes and sing carols? I think that would’ve been kinda fun to see.
[ yeah imagine if they were evil. this might be one of the only examples of the church not collectively sucking in videogames in ages. also the best boy in the sky series is a dominion, so it can't be all that bad? ]
... And what, do all the vitamins you've been collectively eating for the past 20 years kick in all at once?

Imagine if one of them was just "the door home". That'd be a stroke of luck.

[ He smiles, though he was sweating to hear a church have a military cause that was Ishgard was. Anyway, still good that Church in TOCS is doing okay.
