Would that I could have a time to unwind, but we all have personal responsibility in learning more of our circumstances. I'd be too restless if left to twiddle my thumbs.
Have you paid the center a visit? We had some interesting guests.
There’s not exactly a single overhanging statement that covers “living statue that wants you to be fed”, “technicolour zoomies”, “don’t talk me only phones”, and “literally hanging out by my talons”, sadly.
Our tomestones do not have the same features as these "phones."
I don't own one myself, but I was told it connects you to a hub of other tomestone havers. We don't use them as our main channel of communication, however.
The extra stuff that communications devices do are more recent, but… it sounds kinda handy to just have an earpiece that works like that. It can be used over long distances?
They're quite convenient for standard missions and espionage. The linkpearl's shortcoming is its numbered linkshells. A linkshell can hold as many as a hundred and twenty-eight persons, but you're limited to eight of them per linkpearl.
Ah, no. [ Let him try to clarify. ] You can have eight linkshells total and each houses over a hundred or so, but again linkpearls cannot have more than eight channels.
So if to say I would like to contact my second in command only, then it would use one linkshell out of eight.
So, if you had a channel for personal contacts, work, general chatter, jokes, that’d be four used up and then your personal buddy channel with your second would be a whole extra fifth channel.
[ huh. ]
Seems both kinda convenient and not, at the same time.
points yeah it's your turn
... [ but he still talks that way, huh. ]
Healthy enough, I guess. You seem to be keeping yourself busy.

And the difference between a shell and a pearl is...?

The linkpearl is the device itself, consider a linkshell a contact group.

Your star harbors phones, I presume?

You’ve only got so much ear space though, right?
Yeah. Not quite like the ones we got here, but the functions are basically the same. This one isn’t quite as versatile though.

[ It is how it is. He tilts his head. ]
Then your phones have more... "Apps?"

But, no. ARCUS's back home can enhance your abilities in combat.
